Maintenance Productivity Simulation Game

ROMTM productivity improvement circle

True to its philosophy and tradition, IDCON is bringing you another proven, common sense way to improve reliability and maintenance performance through this "maintenance game". This discovery based operations and maintenance training tool works especially well to improve communication between maintenance and operations.
In the Maintenance Simulation, all participants learn, in an exciting, engaging way, the meaning and importance of carrying out the steps of maintenance prevention, inspections, planning, scheduling, spare parts management, technical database and last but not least, production and maintenance partnership building . The maintenance simulation involves managing production, maintenance, engineering and stores under market pressure. Sounds familiar? Most participants agree that this is one of the most realistic exercises ever invented...

How the Maintenance Game is Played
Led by certified, experienced facilitator(s), twelve to thirty-five participants are divided into management teams of four to five, each assuming control of competing companies with profitability problems. All participants are assigned a manufacturing, maintenance, accounting or plant manager's role in the maintenance game. To maximize the learning experience, each person is cross-trained in all roles.

Through careful analysis, planning and teamwork, the teams lead their respective corporations through one operating year of "real life" interactive events. External and internal forces require participants to constantly review and adjust plans and practices. Sample contingencies include equipment failures, lack of raw material, delayed deliveries, and weak demand for product.

In house or Open Seminar
The Maintenance Game can be played in-house, but we also offer prescheduled, open sessions to ensure that smaller organizations, more recent or select employees can participate in this striking memorable team training.
