Course name and Description:

Maintenance Planning and Scheduling

Three Opportunities to attend this 2-day course:

The foundation to achieving cost-effective equipment reliability includes an efficient  Planning and Scheduling work management process. This course delivers the fundamental best practices in planning and scheduling of maintenance work.

You will take away practical knowledge on how to define your work management system, implement the concepts, and  manage the planning and scheduling process in your operation to support the long-term reliability objectives of your organization. You’ll receive IDCON’s “Maintenance Planning and Scheduling” book with your course registration.

Materials and Spare Parts Management

Two Opportunities to attend this 2-day course:

Maintenance materials and spare parts for equipment are a large cost of any plant’s operating cost. Waiting for parts to arrive impacts productivity, reliability and the bottom line.

This class covers how to develop effective materials management work processes, repair-and-return practices, “stock” or “not stock” decision making, the impact of materials management on reliability, key master data quality, and much more. You’ll receive IDCON’s “Reliability Based Spare Parts and Materials Management” book with your course registration.

Shutdown Turnaround Optimization Program

Two Opportunities to attend this 2-day course:

Many industries spend the majority of their maintenance budget on shutdowns. Turnarounds are where significant downtime is spent.  This course teaches how our stay on budget and minimize downtime using a 5 step process.

Develop and Manage Preventive Maintenance

Two Opportunities to attend this 2-day course:

This course teaches the fundamentals of how to optimize a cost effective PM/ECCM process for your operation and implement a PM/ECCM program using IDCON’s practical experience from the field and case studies.

IDCON’s PM/ECCM philosophy adapts the documentation method and level of detail depending on the consequence of breakdown (criticality of the equipment/process). You will practice the concepts learned in class using common components,  equipment and processes. You’ll receive IDCON’s “Preventive Maintenance Essential Care and Condition Monitoring” book with your registration.

Essential Care and Basic Inspection Techniques

Two Opportunities to attend this 2-day course:

An integral part of your Preventive Maintenance/Essential Care & Condition Monitoring (PM/ECCM) program is to understand how to execute PM/ECCM and why each inspection is done.

This is a foundational course for maintenance technicians and operators to learn the basics for equipment care, life extension of components, and inspection techniques. Basic inspection tools and measuring techniques will be taught in the class. You’ll receive IDCON’s “Condition Monitoring Standards Volume 1” book with your registration.

Root Cause Problem Elimination

Two Opportunities to attend this 2-day course:

This unique course combines the work process for Root Cause with the technical forensics of how equipment components fail. You’ll learn how to apply the RCPE work process to eliminate problems using critical thinking exercises, problem solving techniques, and practical cause-and-effect diagram documentation. Your learning continues through practical forensics of bearings, materials, fasteners, power transmission, lubrication and  hands-on exercises utilizing tools and components.
