Reliability Engineer – Perdue Hill, AL 10/1/2011
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be responsible for the implementation of reliability concepts including development of RCA, RCM, PdM technologies and PM development in order to achieve high levels of availability of mill assets. The reliability program includes vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, motor testing and other condition monitoring technologies.
Expertise or subject matter expert in the design and operation of rotating equipment and lubrication strategies is preferred. Develop and implement plans for continuous improvement of production equipment, processes, and process controls.
This position will work closely with both operations and maintenance in the development of long-term equipment maintenance strategies and operator basic care (OBC) as well as support troubleshooting efforts through formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 3 years of maintenance and reliability experience with rotating equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience in pulp and paper industry or power generation is a plus
- Completion of Essential Reliability Engineering Skills courses (applicable only to internal GP candidates)
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- Very Strong PC skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point and capable of quickly learning new software programs
- Working knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and ability to facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Working knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and preventative maintenance systems
- Absolute commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required. (mechanical preferred)
