Visual Inspections- Des-Case Breather
Check the color of the breather.
A Blue color means that the breather is still active, while red means it is saturated and not drying air anymore.
The air filter is designed to remove both dirt and moisture.
The red color means that the filter is saturated with water and dirt.
If the color is yellow or brown that means it is saturated with oil molecules or mist.
IDCON has developed 125 that are found in our 5 volume Condition Monitoring Standards books. We use these as part of a Preventive Maintenance Optimization project.
